The making

Pre-Production

Interview Planning: The interviewees were selected for their significant contributions to the field of architecture and their diverse backgrounds. Questions were designed to cover both professional and personal aspects, delving into their career paths, design philosophies, and experiences of gender in the industry.

Location Scouting: Interviews were filmed at the architects' offices, project sites, or in comfortable, professional settings that mirrored their design aesthetics, making the conversation feel organic and grounded in their work.

Production

Cinematography: The focus was on capturing natural light and clean, simple compositions that emphasized the interviewee’s personality and the beauty of the spaces around them.

Sound & Interview Setup: Each interview was conducted in a quiet, controlled environment to ensure clarity of sound. The interviewees were given the freedom to speak candidly, with minimal interference or direction, allowing their stories to come through authentically.

Post-Production

Editing: The final cut was designed to be a seamless blend of personal storytelling and professional insight, with a focus on clean cuts between the interview and B-roll to maintain pacing and engagement.

Color Grading: The visual tone was warm and welcoming, highlighting the natural textures and colors of the interview environment to reflect the architects’ personal styles and their design philosophy.

Sound Design: A subtle, inspiring background score complemented the interviews, adding emotional depth to the content without overpowering the speakers.
